Why WildFast was created
WildFast was founded by a parent and tech professional who understands how quickly modern life can become overwhelming. With a PhD in environmental studies and a deep personal connection to nature, he experienced firsthand the clarity and grounding that comes from unplugging—especially on walks in the woods with his wife or friends.
The idea for WildFast emerged from watching other parents at school functions absorbed in their phones instead of connecting with their kids or one another. WildFast was built to restore that connection and to remind people that they *do* have a choice—one that starts with a simple, supported step away from the screen.
The founder
The founder of WildFast, Robin Lovell, works in the tech industry and holds a PhD in environmental studies. With five years of experience as a professor and advisor, and a background shaped by a family legacy of coaching, he bring a thoughtful blend of academic insight, digital literacy, and emotional presence to their work.
Outside of work, he is a parent who finds joy in hiking, backpacking, triathlons, yoga, and meditation. These practices infuse WildFast’s programs with a sense of grounded playfulness and nature-based healing. The belief is simple: this work can be transformational—and it can also be fun.
